4 Relay Outputs • 2 Minutes Digital Sound • 30 Watt Amplifier If you’ve ever wanted the simplicity of a PicoBoo but needed just one or two more outputs, then you need the new PicoBoo PLUS. The PLUS works exactly like the original PicoBoo but includes four 10 amp relays. The latest chip and assembly technology has even allowed us to fit it all in the same size box! Relay Outputs The picoBoo PLUS has four 10 amp relay outputs brought out to two pluggable terminal blocks. Each of the outputs has both a normally-open and normally-closed contact, ensuring you will be able to control anything. Up to 2 minutes of animation at 30 frames per second can be recorded. Ambient and Scare Modes The PicoBoo PLUS doesn’t just play sounds during ambient mode, it can also animate the outputs while the prop is waiting to be triggered. Program the sound chip of the picoBoo with what you want the patrons to hear as they approach the scare. Real-Time Programming Just like its PicoBoo brothers, the PicoBoo PLUS can be easily programmed using the on-board buttons. Program all the outputs at once, or layer them up one at a time for more complicated scenes. There’s no confusing button sequences to memorize or manuals to study. One button for each output keeps things straight forward, simply press record and start animating. Write-Protection The PicoBoo PLUS can be write-protected to prevent accidental or unwanted program changes. Amplifier The picoBoo PLUS includes a 30 watt class D amplifier, just connect a speaker and you're ready to rock. For those with larger sound requirements, theres also a line-level output. Trigger Input The PicoBoo PLUS has one input which can be used with normally-open or normally-closed contacts, making it possible to work with nearly any type of trigger. Connecting the trigger to ground will loop the scare indefinitely. New this year, the trigger connector has been moved to the back and is now pluggable to make installation even easier. Audio The picoBoo PLUS uses a built-in flash memory sound chip which makes it easy to playback and record up to 2 minutes of sound. Hook up any audio device to the picoBoo’s audio-in and record the desired sound straight into the chip. No computers, no drivers, no converting sound formats. Simple Speed Control In it’s simplest form, the PicoVolt is an efficient DC motor speed controller. The built-in speed wheel gives you precise control over the speed of any 12VDC motor. Ambient Animation The PicoVolt doesn't just control speed. It allows you to program up to 60 seconds of animation, any speed, any direction. Hold the record button while animating the motor using the speed wheel. The PicoVolt loops your animation indefinitely. Same goes for DC lighting, program any lighting pattern and the PicoVolt loops it over and over. Compact and Efficient The PicoVolt uses PWM techniques to efficiently control the speed of your motor. This technique can reduce the motor’s speed while retaining most of the torque. Other methods of speed control simply reduce the voltage, resulting in a huge reduction in the motor’s power. Flexible Outputs The FlexMax can be purchased in 4, 8, or 16 output models. All outputs are solid-state so they can control 12 or 24VDC loads with no wear and tear. To control high voltage loads use one of our BooBox Output Accessories. Purchase the FlexMax with no outputs if you need a flexible MP3 player with lots of inputs and a powerful amplifier. Amplifier & Mixer Input The FlexMax harnesses the power of a 50 watt Class D stereo amplifier for maximum sound quality. If that doesn’t do it for you, the line-out can be used to connect to even larger amplifiers. The mixer input allows you to take advantage of the internal amplifier for other line-level audio you may need amplified as well. DMX Compatible DMX is the industry standard interface for theatre and stage lighting. The addition of DMX to the FlexMax allows you to incorporate any DMX device into your scene. DMX dimmers, smoke machines, strobes, wash lights, control any or all of them with unbelievable ease. Any effect can be programmed, fading in and out, throbbing effects and power failures. Not to mention that all these effects are programmed and played back in sync with your sound! The BooBox can also be set to act as a DMX slave to any other DMX controller. Play ambient music while the BooBox is idle, then when it’s time to scare, use the adjustable delays to play the scare sound at just the right time. Don't get stuck choosing between looping a sound or working one off a trigger when the BooBox can do both. Trigger Inputs The BooBox FlexMax has eight optically-isolated inputs which can be used with normally-open or normally-closed contacts. Adjustable pre and post-delays can be set for each input. Triggers can also be set to stop a scene, loop on a schedule, or increment through different scenes. Servo Outputs Two servo outputs are available to drive standard RC servos. Great for accurately controlling the eyes or mouth of an elaborate prop. Standard and wide-range servos are both supported. Firmware Upgrades The SD Flash Card not only makes transferring sounds and programs simple, it also makes it possible to implement firmware upgrades. Firmware upgrades are program changes made to improve the BooBox. Added features are now only a free download away, no matter when you buy your FlexMax you will always have all the latest features. Real-Time Programming The ScareMaster allows you to program even the most complicated scenes with ease. Program any number of outputs at a time, including DMX lighting, with the same ease of use we pioneered with the original BooBox. All of the BooBox’s many configuration options can also be easily changed using the ScareMaster’s LCD interface. The ScareMaster is required to program the FlexMax. Ambient and Scare Modes The Ambient mode is used to build anticipation of the scare. While the BooBox is not scaring, it is by default in ambient mode. Program this mode with what you want the patrons to see and hear as they approach the scare - a little foreshadowing of the terror to come. Multiple ambient scenes can be programmed and the BooBox will automatically cycle through them after each scare.
